Part Time Accounts Assistant
An exciting opportunity to work for a small, successful and growing Electrical Contracting business in Southampton. They continue to win high profile projects and in order to service these and to fulfil their growth plans, they are currently looking to recruit an accounts assistant.
Key responsibilities and criteria for this position of Accounts Assistant:
· Communication with customers, members of staff, engineers and suppliers via telephone and email.
· Matching Invoices to PO/GRN.
· Entering Invoices to Sage purchase ledger.
· Reconciliation of supplier statements.
· Using tracking software to collate and supply timesheet information to a deadline.
· Other ad hoc payroll and admin duties as requested by the Senior Accounts Administrator.
· Reporting directly to a Director/Senior Accounts Administrator.
Abilities, skills and experience required:
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software -specialist to the industry.
· Able to show initiative, be reactive and have problem solving and excellent numeric skills.
· Previous experience within Electrical or Construction sectors is preferable.
· Ability to work in a small team or alone.
· Successful candidate will have a background working in a busy accounts department with a knowledge of Sage purchase ledger.
Remuneration package:
· Hours 9.30am - 2.30pm Monday - Thursday.
· Based in Southampton.
· Free on-site parking.
· 29 days holiday (inc.BH) Pro Rata.
· Automatic enrolment pension.
· Training and support given with potential to grow your personal role within the company.
Remuneration £9.50ph - £10.50ph depending on experience & skill set
