Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for Revenue and Cost of Sales reporting at month end for fast growing CWW Division. Ensuring a quality & timely month end close process that is compliant with Group accounting policies. Responsible for providing useful insights into trends, stakeholder management, investigation and correction of data anomalies. The role: As Revenue Accountant, you will be accountable for and involved in the following: Key Responsibilities: Reporting: Responsible for quality, timeliness and accuracy of monthly revenue reporting in accordance with month end calendar (includes p&l and related balance sheet accounts) Ensuring that revenues are accounted for in accordance with Vodafone Group accounting policies Reporting of activity and KPIs for key revenue drivers on a monthly basis. Completion of variance and trend analysis for use at WD5 and WD6 review sign offs Preparation of ad hoc reports, analysis and commentary as required. Support Enterprise business units in understanding the latest trends, answering specific queries, deep diving trends etc Process improvements: Recommending revenue process and control improvements arising from the newly implemented billing system. Continually work with the Equinox project team, MIS and Revenue Assurance to improve revenue reporting processes Continue to focus on and drive improvements in our Balance Sheet reconciliations Continue to develop the revenue accounting function by implementing process and business intelligence improvements Business partnering: Supporting Enterprise business unit controllers in relation to revenue analysis Provide support to business owners in relation to understanding latest trends and deep dive anomalies investigating root cause and driving restatement and fix at source where required Advise on business rules and accounting treatment for new/existing products Liaising with Group stakeholders on deals involving Group and for accurate Intercompany recharges Other Support the Financial Planning & Business Support team in relation to mid-month revenue outlook The Candidate: You will have some or all of the following: PQ or Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA) Technically strong, month end experience Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Excel Excellent knowledge of financial statements Experience in the telecoms industry is a significant advantage Alexander Mann Solutions, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Business.
