The role:

• Preparing and running weekly and monthly payrolls
• Setting up PAYE schemes
• Implementing and evaluating procedures and ensuring accuracy and efficiently
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders payroll queries
• Completing returns to HMRC
• Updating the team on new legislation and ensuring best practice
• Setting up auto enrolment
• As this role is working within a bureau environment you will also be supporting a range of businesses which will include liaison with the clients’ pension providers, producing client invoices and ensuring an efficient payroll service to up to 300 small and medium sized business.

The ideal candidate:

• You will be a payroll expert who is technically astute and can provide support to a small team with your knowledge and experience.
• As the role is dealing with a range of clients, you will enjoy providing a high level of service and building ongoing relationships.
• You will have a substantial background in a high-volume payroll environment and be experiences in managing several payrolls at one time.
• Experience or exposure of managing a small team is essential
