APRA's data transformation program, Athena, is one of the largest programs in its history. It is a multi-year, multi-stream program that will fundamentally change many aspects of APRA's data management, modernising how APRA collects, stores, analyses and provides access to data.
The Data Collection Solution (DCS) project is a core work stream of the Athena Program. The Data Collection Solution will replace APRA's current data collection tool with a more modern, efficient system.
We are seeking a Principal Analyst on a 12-month contract to support the delivery and implementation of our new solution. This role is a challenging opportunity for someone with exceptional business analysis skills to expand their repertoire.
The scope of work will lend itself to different facets of the DCS project, including a public facing role with APRA's reporting entities, assessing regulatory technology software, through to assisting with implementation, business process re-engineering, training and rollout of the chosen new solution.
The successful candidate will have solid business analysis and business process implementation experience (ideally across different industries), excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communications skills, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in driving large business transformation programs would be beneficial, and the ability to keep on top of a fast-moving workload is a must.
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is the prudential regulator of the financial services industry. It oversees banks, credit unions, building societies, general insurance and reinsurance companies, life insurance, private health insurers, friendly societies, and most members of the superannuation industry. APRA currently supervises institutions holding $6 trillion in assets for Australian depositors, policyholders and superannuation fund members.
APRA invests in contemporary technologies to enable our employees to achieve work life balance, via flexible working practices. We are dedicated to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace that fosters collaboration and continuous improvement. APRA provides ongoing studies support, structured training programs and excellent career progression opportunities all within a highly professional environment.
APRA is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability status.
