Assistant Corporate Accountant

My client based within a well known organisation in Birmingham City Centre is looking to recruit an Assistant Corporate Accountant into their already successful team.The Assistant Corporate Accountant will assist in all aspects of statutory and management reporting as well as playing a pivotal role in mid to long term financial planning for the organisation. The position is offered on a permanent basis and offers the opportunity for study support.

Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with all area's of Corporate Accounts and will be responsible for assisting in the following duties:

• Statutory and Management Reporting
• Financial Compliance and Systems
• Financial planning including budgeting, cash flow, capital and tax planning
• Produce a number of the monthly control accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in preparing the annual reports and statutory audit file
• Work with the Corporate Accountant to produce statutory returns
• Assist the Corporate Accountant with Management Accounts
• General Finance Administration

Profile

The successful candidate will have worked within a finance department previously, have relevant finance administration knowledge and possess the following skills:

• Be willing to progress and train in new area's of finance
• A good understanding of Excel
• Be degree educated, AAT Qualified or ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified (or equivalent)
