Assurance Business Analyst

My client a Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an Assurance Business Analyst to join their Chief Control Office Mortgages team. As the BA, you will have experience of MI reporting and analytical capabilities, you will help improve the QA reporting outputs and efficiencies, as well as development and requirement gathering for a technical build of a database. Responsibilities Drive and continuously improve the operating model for through optimised control and assurance processes in order to ensure business excellence in controls. Support the triage of incoming demand on the team and ensure appropriate action is undertaken and governance is in place around those actions. Reporting of these activities as well. Supporting the delivery and embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across UK Focussed on the co-ordination/oversight of Policy & Standard delivery, working with stakeholders across Group. As part of the above run key governance processes, including the Key Risk (KRAS) evaluation process Manage relationships with Key Risk Owners and Delegates across UK and the Functions Support/lead in trouble shooting and unlocking key business issues, making sense out of ambiguity and drawing on knowledge of the function and other group wide initiatives to make sound judgements Support the management of the internal governance of UK Chief Control Office, including project portfolio governance and reporting, tracking of progress and managing key meetings and interventions Work with stakeholders e.g. Risk, Compliance, Audit and Business Area Managing Director’s to ensure that there is adequate governance around implementing new risk and compliance policies and procedures. Conducting current state assessments, presenting findings and recommendations, negotiating changes in control SLA’s and leading implementation plans Skills Experience to consolidate and process information from multiple sources to create meaning insight and reporting for stakeholders Knowledge of process re-engineering e.g. LEAN / DMAIC / Value Mapping Proven experience of influencing Stakeholders including briefings and presentations Experience or knowledge of working within a regulatory and control environment Experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives Knowledge of Project Management and Change Management, proven through a relevant professional qualification e.g. Prince2, Project Management Institution
