Description
Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accountancy team in Haslemere
- Establish payment cycles, taking advantage of preferable terms when applicable
Managing our AP banking facility (Supplier finance)
Forecasting commitments for all AP
Supplier reconciliations
Remit payments, retaining receipts of transactions
Reconcile transactions and correct any discrepancies
Assess invoices comparable to project, department, and company forecasts
Evaluate performance and make suggestions to cut costs
Negotiate payment terms
Develop relationships with suppliers
Find ways to improve payment systems
Weekly Freight analysis and posting of invoices
Audit accounts payable operations to make sure invoices and receipts are properly coded
Support in daily sales reporting
Ad hoc finance assistant duties
Profile
A successful candidate will have experience with the above & be able to start on short notice.
Navision experience would be ideal
