Internal Audit

My client is a leading Charitable health service provider located in South Dublin wishes to strengthen its management structure by the appointment of an Internal Auditor who will be responsible for providing independent assurance to the Board on The Society's risk management, governance and internal control processes as well as on the efficiency and effectiveness of its services. The successful candidate will be expected to add value to The Society and its clients by enabling adherence to policies and controls and through the promotion and sharing of best practice. The person is accountable for the examination and evaluation of the company processes, reporting findings back to management in regards to possible improvements. Responsibilities Implement a system to identify and manage potential risks effectively Plan, organize, and carry out internal audit functions Report to audit committee and management Coordinate with external auditors on financial management Report formally on review findings and making recommendations on possible improvements Review and report on financial information provided for management and the Board Report on value of money obtained by company Conduct reviews or tasks requested by directors Provide management and audit committee with an opinion on the company's internal controls Skills Exercise own initiative and judgment in developing procedures Operate with minimal direction Gain confidence of management through professionalism Analysis and presentation skills Report-writing skills Effective oral and written communication skills Analyze facts and prepare and present concise reports Establish and maintain working relationships Deal with two reporting lines while operating separately from management Flexibility to travel nationwide as required Independent thinking Reliability Enthusiasm Confidentiality Relationships CEO Audit and Risk Committee Board of Directors Senior and Regional Management Teams External Auditors By applying for this role not only will your application be considered for this position but your details will be stored in our database and may be considered for similar future positions that may arise.
