Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. We work in partnership with Australians who are blind or have low vision to help them achieve the possibilities they choose in life.

We support more than 27,500 people of all ages and life stages, and circumstances. We do this through 28 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; 30 clinics; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

We are now seeking a dynamic Regional Business Manager with a ‘can do' approach and who through the development of strong partnerships, leadership and business acumen, develop a centre of excellence for our client services delivered from our National Head Office. We have a unique opening in our Client Services team, this position is pivotal to leading a large diverse multidisciplinary team. The position is best suited to an experienced Regional Business Manager who understands current opportunities and challenges in the disability sector, is an exceptional leader who can translate vision into action with purpose and has high drive for results.

Responsibilities

As a Regional Business Manager at Vision Australia you will:

  • Lead and manage regional operations for success as per an agreed local regional business plan.
  • Lead, deliver and monitor to key performance objectives including the following but not exclusive to :
    • Measure and monitor financial performance
    • Evidence of business growth and retention
    • Grow and maintain client engagement
    • Lead and inspire team productivity
    • Lead, coach and develop people and
    • Ensure all operational aspects met required compliance
  • Lead a values based culture among staff and volunteers to ensure high levels of positive workplace engagement - focussed on business success.
  • Drive deeper relationships with our clients (in partnership with our national Marketing team) to increase referrals & to better connect with communities within the region, making us the provider of choice.
  • Implement services locally (and in partnership with our national Service Innovation team) which have been co-designed with clients in Education, Employment, Independence and Social Inclusion (EEISI)

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Business Acumen - demonstrates success in articulating and delivering on a plan for business success
  • Direction & Focus - provides direction and linkages to high level goals, vision and strategy
  • Client/Customer Service - leads excellence in client/customer service
  • Experience in managing diverse relationships, building and developing effective teams though measuring and monitoring performance -
  • Change Management experience demonstrating success effectively supporting and champions complex change
  • Qualifications in Business Management/Health or Community Services at graduate or post-graduate level (or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications plus extensive experience)
