Job Type: Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (part time & job share also available)
Hours: Minimum of 20 hrs (over 4 days)
Salary: GBP35,836 (inclusive of IT allowance of GBP4,609)

About the role:
As a Business Analyst, you are a trusted adviser to the business stakeholder and product owner. You will provide independent and unbiased critical analysis ensuring outcomes and deliverables align with the business strategy, service vision and business architecture. You are responsible for the quality and coverage of requirements across the programmes and projects that you are assigned to. You will have the confidence and skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in–house IT division for our client. They are currently recruiting several roles to ensure their Digital, Data and Technology teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take their major transformation programme forward. These teams are at the heart of the move to a digital, data driven organisation with the ambition to provide their customers with cutting edge digital services
About you, you will have:
– Experience of tools and techniques to support data analysis both spatial and textual
– Knowledge of spatial data analysis, including emerging practice
– Experience of requirements elicitation and definition, including modelling techniques (business / process / data)
– Experience of requirements management theory and practice
– Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle, including working in an iterative or agile environment
In addition to the essential experience listed above you will also be assessed against the following skills at interview stage:
– Excellent analysis, investigation and problem–solving skills
– Excellent communication, facilitation / presentation skills (particularly for workshops and agile ceremonies)
– The ability to negotiate and constructively challenge evidence and proposals
– The ability to assimilate information quickly
– The ability to identify and manage risks
– Planning skills
