Financial Controller

The role of Financial Controller with be responsible for leading and building the finance function for the business. This will be the no 1 in finance role for the business and you should be comfortable that for a period of time that you will be the only person in finance.

My client is a high-tech manufacturing business based in West London. The make products that are the result of extensive research and development.

Description

This is an all-encompassing finance role and for a brief period of time you will be the sole person in finance for this part of the business.

You will be responsible for:

• Contribute to strategic analysis, planning and control
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, founders, and COO.
• Ad hoc projects including commercial analysis of new product development
• Evaluation of new business proposals
• Overseeing management and financial accounts
• ROI analysis on product range
• Monitoring of cashflow, working capital
• Managing the audit and preparing audit file
• Process and system improvement

Profile

You should have extensive experience of leading a finance function in an SME environment. Experience in a products business would be a big advantage.

A hands-on approach to work is essential as is a proven track record of hiring high performing teams.

You should be flexible and comfortable with change - this is a very fast moving environment and global growth looks set to continue.
