New senior financial manager role reporting into the Finance Director. This is a full time, permanent position and will be instrumental in helping to move the finance department to the next level with the help of the senior finance team. Role Overview Preparation of monthly management accounts for a division of the Company. Aiding in the preparation and submission of the monthly accounts for the company. Take ownership for the financial management of a business division. This includes but is not limited to the following: Provision of monthly financial reporting and metrics to the Business Unit Managers Hold monthly meetings with Business Unit Manager(s) Drive performance of the business with the BU Manager through looking at particular Key Account performance along with cost saving issues for the business and efficiency initiatives. Challenging and supporting the business through analysis and initiatives. Drive internal controls Manage risk management requirements for the Company and Group. Building Forecast information Annual budget builds Quarterly and year end targets Financial planning and analysis and providing information that drives effective decision making. Lead and be part of teams that complete ad hoc projects and initiatives. Costs savings - play a role in the procurement development process along with the Procurement Manager and Finance Director to build and police a PSL (preferred supplier listing) and identify cost savings. Systems: Navision - learn, use and develop the efficient use of the system. Be part of a working group to drive Navision Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Abilities: Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, preferably from a Big 4/Top 10 accounting practice background. 3years + PQE industry experience. Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ideally in a multinational reporting environment. Budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience and ideally having worked in a strong internal controls environment. Excellent financial and analytical experience a must. Attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Advanced competence in using Excel. Ability to prioritise work, manage different projects and meet deadlines. Experience of accounting software packages, of which Navision or SAP would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Staff management experience desirable.
