The Chamberlain Group is a global market leader and the world's largest manufacturer of residential and commercial garage door openers, gate openers and access control products. Our range of premium brands supplies the professional, retail and commercial construction sectors. The organisation is currently looking to appoint a Salesforce Developer based in our regional head office at North Ryde. 

Job Responsibilities

The Salesforce Developer responsibilities will be to utilise the organisation’s IT systems to help achieve business goals. Integral to these responsibilities will be liaison with internal divisions with regards to resolving organisational information technology problems and requirements by analysing needs; designing computer programs; recommending system controls and protocols.

The Salesforce Developer will understand and analyse the business requirements, design and document work flow, manage and translate solutions by using current and new information technology systems including SAP, Salesforce, EDI, API, e-commence and web sites.

Core Functions of this role will include:

  • Designing new and improved computer programs to meet the needs of the business, determining operational objectives, studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Consulting with key stakeholders to determine the needs of the system, incorporating usability and user interface needs when designing systems.
  • Developing specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow.
  • Defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget. 
  • Project Management, overseeing implementation, coordinating tests and training, and observing initiation of the system to validate performance.
  • Using Salesforce, APEX classes, Triggers, API and websites to enhance and find solutions for business requirements.
  • Maintaining system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Providing references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
  • Preparing technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Negotiating contracts, manages relationships, and monitors vendor performance against SLAs Education.
  • Maintaining Salesforce, SAP B1 and EDI systems relating to solution projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Business degree in a technical field such as information technology or information systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Salesforce environment in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in software design, documentation, development process, software requirements, analysing information, project management, teamwork, software maintenance, written communication, promoting process improvement
  • In-depth technical knowledge, proficiency with Salesforce, coding with Apex, SAP B1, EDI, API and HTML
  • Experience in Salesforce lightening components and controllers, integration with third party applications and websites using API and app exchange products.
  • Ability to manage and integrate mobile app on Salesforce platform.
  • Experience in Pardot, Salesforce DX and/or other CI tools is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience working in Agile Environment for software delivery.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Problem solving analysis skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise.
  • Proactive and self-directed, identifying issues and opportunities ahead of time.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time whilst managing day to day requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships across the organisation.
  • Training capability.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills are a requisite for this position.
