We have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join busy team on a six month fixed term contract based at our Greystanes head office.
Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager your will be an integral part of our busy accounting team.
Your responsibilities will be
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations including bank, staff debtors, term deposits, other accruals;
- Prepare and manage the daily bank unreconciled list and coordinate these with the branches;
- Manage the corporate credit card including liaising with the bank for credit card issuance and cancellations and follow up staff expense claims;
- Prepare and coordinate manual journal entries including accruals, term deposit, interests, novated lease, prepayments, equipment regos;
- Process payment via EFT or cheque for rent, payroll tax, trade ins, customer refunds and others;
To be successful for this position you would have previous experience in a similar role within a large cooperate environment and have an excellent customer service skills. You would also have the following skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance.
- 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, notably Microsoft Excel.
- CPA / CA preferred but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative to ensure issues are identified and addressed appropriately.
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic / multi-priority environment.
