Contract: 6 months The Company Affidea Ireland is part of the Affidea Group - Europe's leading healthcare diagnostics imaging company. With c300 staff, the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centres around the country, offering a broad range of state of the art diagnostic imaging and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations. Requirements The ideal Candidate will be qualified to Accounting Technician standard or newly or part qualified ACA or ACCA with minimum 3 years accounting experience doing similar role. Tasks and responsibilities: Preparing complex customer reconciliations (incl large health insurers) and banking allocations/reconciliations for accounts receivable -liaising with 3 rd party billing company Uploading data to financial systems including daily and monthly sales volumes and revenues Month end journal creation and posting and various account reconciliations during close process Entry of purchase invoices into Scala system, both capital and P&L items Ensure sign off of all invoices prior to payment and compliance with policy Raising payments (cheque or EFT) for all entities and processing in Scala Entry of purchase payments details into Scala bank accounts Reviewing and paying all staff expenses - monthly Maintaining summaries of clinic room rentals to doctors and ensuring billing and collections Other accounting activities as requested Skills: Strong understanding of financial processes around accounts payable and receivable and P&L and Balance sheet accounting Experience with full accounting systems and posting entries and journals Excellent numerical accuracy and eye for detail and spotting errors Fast learner - ability to grasp each process and understand the wider business quickly Strong written and oral communication skills - ensuring understanding of tasks fully before undertaking and keeping team up to date with progress and issues Excellent IT skills and Microsoft office - strong Excel, PPT, Word
