Management Accountant

Client Details

Our client is a market leading manufacturer based in North Derby. Year on year organic growth alongside strategic acquisitions has seen this business going from strength to strength, and they are now in position where they need further assistance in management accounts. You will be working in an open plan finance function with multiple lines of contact with other key stakeholders across the business.

Description

Your key duties and responsibilities within this role will include:

• Working with teams across the business for the analysis and collection of costing data, such as production costs, transportation, operational labour, packaging etc. to compile an accurate standard cost for all product lines
• Ensuring best practice and operational procedures adhered to in the business to enable accurate point of entry costing data
• Analysing intake and operational costs and preparing reports comparing standard costs to actual costs, variance analysis
• Standardising costing models across the business
• Maintaining costing data within ERP system
• Product, supplier and customer profitability modelling
• Liaising with budget holders to review annual budget and forecast
• Actual vs. Budget analysis
• Presenting management accounts reporting pack to Head of Finance.

Profile

The successful candidate will come from a manufacturing background in Management Accounts, preferably with costing experience. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build positive business relationships. You will be part qualified in CIMA/ACCA with competent skills in in Excel.
