The position of the Junior Business Analyst primary purpose is to support the Technical Lead to undertake all aspects of data management activities for the P2P Transformation Project. This position may also assist with other technical activities on the project, as directed by the Technical Lead.Key responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to all Statutory, Legislative Standards and all Policies and Procedures;
Assist in the development of data management strategies for the P2P Transformation Project, including data requirements, data migration strategy and data cleansing strategy.
Implement controls and compliance metrics to reduce data issues and improve data quality
Executing activities in line with the data management strategies
Assist in developing an approach to data clean up, maintenance and quality control
Undertaking required activities to operationalise contracts in the Ariba contracts module to allow itemise contract unit rates, etc. to flow into the new P2P solution.
Undertake technical activities as directed by the Technical Lead
Ensure all project technical deliverables comply with OCMS standards and are delivered in a timely manager, in-line with the P2P Project schedule.
Report status, progress, issues, risks, and inter-project dependencies and conflicts to the Technical Lead and Project Manager for review, and follow up on their resolution in a structured and timely manner
Assist in development of requirement specification document, diagrams, and charts as directed by the Technical Lead
Assist in validating functional requirements and demonstrate that the designed system meets the overall business and technical requirements.
Assist in core system configuration of the new P2P system.
Develop / amend procedures (technical and non-technical related) to incorporate the new P2P solution processes into BAU.
Determine and document data mapping rules from medium to complex source data fields to their related target data fields
Complete data cleansing and transformation
Assist in investigations and provide information/data to validate processes, integration, or answer a concern that was by the project team.
Assist in preparation and facilitation of workshops to determine data requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Experience working within project management experience is desirable,
Experience with data analysis, quality, cleaning and extraction / validation
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent desirable
Minimum 1 years relevant working experience
Demonstrate good proficiency in technical writing
Ability to collect, analyse and present workplace data and information
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written)
Ability to follow occupational health, safety and environmental procedures in the rail industry
Ability to identify customer specifications and requirements
Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
Ability to analyse the method of transforming existing data into a format for the new environment and the loading of this data into other database structures.
You have advanced Microsoft Access and Excel experience
