Sheridan Maine is currently recruiting for a Senior Qualified Accountant for a large manufacturing organisation based in North Cornwall. This is a number 1 role on site and will be managing a small team of 2 and will report into the regional Finance Director and work very closely with the site Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
• Producing weekly / monthly profitability statements, including the appropriate commentary to highlight trends affecting the performance of the site
• Recording data and financial reporting in line with the company standards and prepare and update the annual budget and periodic forecasts
• Coordinating product costing to ensure that all cost elements are current and lead to informed business decisions
• Preparing input for the monthly results and performance measurement including customer profitability, undertake internal audits and maintain appropriate risk management controls, particularly with regard to working capital expenditure
• You will also manage capital expenditure including investment appraisal, spend allocation to projects, classification of assets and timely capitalisation of projects
• Managing and developing the small Finance Team on site
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have strong commercial experience and have also worked within the manufacturing industry, ideally FMCG.
