Buyer/Planner

Terumo BCT Ltd - located in Larne - manufactures a range of sterile fluids for human and veterinary use. A vacancy currently exists for a Buyer/Planner. The successful candidate will manage the procurement and supply of materials to support the factory production plan, help deliver cost and inventory reduction programmes to positively impact financial performance. Buyer/Planner ( Ref No: 18/10) ( Salary: circa £25-27K + Bens) Duties will include: Manage a portfolio of vendors across different commodity groups to drive continuous improvement within the Terumo BCT supply chain Conduct weekly supplier reviews to help maintain supplier on-time delivery performance, focusing on service Execute the Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan to ensure materials supply to feed factory builds Execute forecasts and PO's to the supply base in a timely manner to ensure flexible production planning and supply to meet factory requirements Utilize SAP to generate reports and extract data to manage forecasting, supply and planning of material to and from the factory Manage New Product Introduction projects, including the approval and implementation of new product SKU's and suppliers Ensure accurate pricing and supply data is maintained on SAP Identify opportunities to achieve positive cost savings across the supply chain Develop strong business relationships with other internal functions Applicants must possess: A third-level qualification in degree in Business, Management or a suitably related discipline Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in the use of MS Office Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work on own initiative In addition the following would be a distinct advantage: Membership of CIPS Experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing environment along with an understanding of lean manufacturing principles Experience of using SAP, including reporting If you would like to apply for this role, please send an up-to-date copy of your CV by clicking on the APPLY NOW button below  before the closing date/time of 2.00 pm, Friday 6th July 2018.
