This is a financial controller position within an ambitious & growing SME organisation.

The business have clear objectives for their growth and are looking for a financial controller to facilitate both the operational and strategic growth

Client Details

My client currently has a turnover of c £20m and are looking to vastly increase this within the immediate years. They are in the food industry & require an individual with considerable experience from within this industry.

Description

My client is looking for a controller to take departmental ownership of the finance function, to drive the strategy direction & raise the profile of finance within the business. The role will not only perform the statutory and banking related roles, but also equip the business with financial insights, monitor performance V budget and play a key role in driving costs down. There will also be an ERP system roll out within the coming months.

- Overall management of Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.

- Management of daily and annual Banking process. Experience of handling an Asset Base Lending model will be ideal.

- Take ownership of and refine the product costing models working with Operations.

- Work with the Sales director on pricing

- Budgeting and Management accounts

- Build the annual budget by pulling together departmental budgets - i.e. sales/marketing/ Ops/HR etc.

- Produce monthly management accounts showing performance against budget and variance.

- Produce MIS showing account and product level profitability.

- Work with the Head of Ops to drive costs down.

- Renegotiate purchase contracts to get better costs.

- Roll out of a new ERP system.

- Audit-Dealing with auditors on all Financial Statements.

- Filing of returns with Companies House.

- Liaising with Head Office (Delhi) on statutory reporting to parent company.

- Management of Overall Payroll-Benefits, Deductions, Expenses etc.

Profile

- Able to travel to Suffolk weekly

- Qualified accountant

- Experience within the consumer goods industry

- Experience within a SAP environment will be advantageous

- Experience leading a team

Job Offer

Salary of up to £55,000 + benefits. Dependent on experience.
