Role Our client is an innovative company in the pharmaceutical sector with head office in Dublin 2. They specialize in rare diseases and develop drugs for small patient groups. They have experienced strong growth over the last 3 years and are currently strengthening their compliance team. Description Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director who is a qualified barrister with significant experience in the pharma sector, you will be complementing the skill set of the team. As other team members have a legal background, they are looking to appoint an individual with strong analytical skills, who has strong excel and data analytic skills gained in a regulated environment. This is a newly created role that you can make your own. Responsibilities will include the following: Coordinate and monitor the implementation of applicable internal policies, procedures, programs and activities; Manage the continued enhancement of the regional monitoring programme and build out appropriate processes as required; Provide periodic compliance and risk management updates and data analytics to support compliance policy decisions, issues and investigations; Undertake from time to time , the lead in ad-hoc projects and analysis to document emerging risk areas; Support in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct; Implement corrective action plans for resolution of compliance issues, and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future; Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions have been sufficiently completed in a timely manner; Assist in the continued development of the existing EUMEA "Transfer of Value" disclosure initiative; Conduct reviews of and track internal spend data to ensure complete and accurate data is recorded and reported; Support the assessment of new and existing regulatory requirements e.g. GDPR; and Support global anti-bribery/anti-corruption efforts, including managing the due diligence programme relating to the organisation's partners and distributors. Profile Background You could come from a number of backgrounds Compliance, Legal, Risk Management or Audit Function. You should have pharma sector experience and a legal degree. You should have strong excel and problem solving skills. You'll be liaising with many functions - marketing, commercial, medical and finance so strong communication skills are a must.
