About Markets Post Trade Technology Markets Post Trade Technology is a global technology organization that partners with a variety of businesses and functions across Barclays Group to provide Trade Capture, Back Office, Processing and Reporting solutions. Overall purpose of role * Team and Project lead for the Rates F2B and Business Re–engineering, with the possibility of line management and increased scope as the project matures. * Accountable for driving functional analysis and design of our global, in–house Rates derivatives trade capture and lifecycling processing system. * Day to day activities include close liaison with stakeholders, capture of requirements, negotiating and supporting process changes in Front Office, migrating users to new functionality, working with development teams to deliver system changes Your Role The candidate will be responsible for * Leading a cross–functional team of Business Analysts and Developers with a specific objective of rationalising the front–to–back Rates IT stack * Identifying & delivering key simplification opportunities * Matrix managing across a number of IT teams in Markets Post Trade Technology and other Transaction Cycles * Working closely with and driving key stakeholders to simplify business processes & consequent simplification of the IT systems, * Writing functional specifications to describe detailed business logic and formulae. * Producing UML diagrams to describe data models and process flows. * Writing user stories, to describe individual end–user features, using the standard Agile format. * Documenting front–to–back trade process flows from RFQ through to confirmation, reporting and settlement. * Defining XML mapping for inter–system messaging. * Drawing user interface mock–ups. * Minimum 4 year Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of work experience. * 6+ years work experience in a Business Analysis position related to information technology or software development. * 6+ years of strong competency in IT business analysis and functional design, with skills including, 3+ years experience of working with Front Office Stakeholders in Trading and Sales to capture user requirements. 3+ years of full development lifecycle using Agile methodologies Preferred Qualifications/Skills * Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with and influence a wide range of stakeholders * Ability to work with a range of stakeholders and IT teams to build in–depth knowledge of products, processes, applications as well as current issues and required changes * Ability to draft and maintain concise and accurate requirements and other project artefacts such as risks/issues logs * Ability to draft comprehensive test scripts and use cases in order to prove successful change * Proven data–mining and consistency checking techniques with the ability to translate data into requirements, impact assessment and prioritisation recommendations. * Knowledge of Macro Products Risk and Control Objective All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
