Description
The Accountant II role prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Experience working in an environment requiring the ability to successfully multi–task is a must. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, be able to problem solve with minimal direction, and have a strong accounting knowledge base.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Prepares journal entries
  • Supports month end close process
  • Reconciles and balances general ledger accounts
  • Researches and corrects account discrepancies
  • Reconciles sub–ledger to general ledger where necessary
  • Prepares audit work schedules
  • Provides analytical support to the Corporate Accounting team
  • Provides accounting support for Life Time LifeClinic business as well as other center businesses with a focus on superior service
  • Automates and supports various sub–ledger to ledger booking processes

Qualifications
Education:
  • Four–year college degree in accounting


Experience:
  • 1–3 yearsâ?????? experience in a professional business environment, preferably experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
  • Ability to multi–task and learn quickly
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
  • Advanced knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software, including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multi–task with tight deadlines independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutions
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
