Job role: HR Audit & Compliance Officer
Pro rata salary: GBP25k

Reports to: HR Business Partner – NW

We are looking to recruit a HR Audit & Compliance Officer on a permanent basis to audit staff files and HR processes across all of our residential and education sites. This is a really important role and the successful candidate will provide an independent guarantee that protocols are effective, compliant and where necessary, areas of improvement identified.
The HR Audit & Compliance Officer will cover our residential and education sites in the North West of England from Manchester and Preston to parts of the West Midlands and Shropshire. Therefore, extensive travel is required and access to a private car. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
What are the responsibilities of the HR Audit & Compliance Officer?
• Travel to different locations, meet relevant staff and undertake audits of staff files, HR processes and systems at our residential and education sites to ensure they are compliant;
• Attend meetings to help managers understand what is required;
• Provide ad hoc advice and guidance to managers, sometimes by delivering workshops as required;
• Agree recommendations with relevant managers to make improvements to processes;
• Prepare reports to highlight issues and problems and distribute the reports to the relevant people;
• Manage a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications;
• Assess how well each location is complying to rules and regulations and inform management of any issues that need addressing;

• Ability to work to deadlines;
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team;
• Strong IT skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good report writing skills; and
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality as you will be exposed to personal data.
