Job Purpose The role of Capex Analyst is to support the Capital Expenditure Manager and the Local Market Finance teams with the preparation, validation and accurate reporting of Capital Expenditure for the CWC Caribbean and Central Entities. This role will be responsible and accountable for reporting on all aspects of Capex. The role will ensure that the accuracy of the Capex being booked is in line with accounting standards and will also ensure that each entity is fully compliant with CWC PPE recognition policy and procedures. Major Accountabilities Responsible for capex accounting, and ensuring it is aligned to the PPE accounting policies and standards. Responsible for the production of all capex month end reports, providing quality variance analysis and commentaries across CWC (incl. CWP). Work closely with the Local Finance teams and FPA Capex teams to identify and record risks and opportunities to drive business performance. Work closely with the Local Finance teams and the Finance Shared Centre to ensure capex spend is correctly recorded and reported. Ensure that the CWC all entities are adhering to the standardized operational practices. Responsible for project set up, WIP reviews, accrual analysis, asset transfers, and monthly recognition of capitalised overheads. Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide periodic reports to the ELT on project status, approved budget, spend and milestone delivery. Prepare monthly financial closing of Caribbean and Central entities within the communicated timelines of PPE inputs to HFM. Maintain and refine capex project reporting and establish it as a (more) useful tool to understand PPE expenditures and key variance. Qualifications/Experience Masters in Accounting or Master in Business Administration with focus in Accounting or Finance or ACCA (must attain at least level 2), or CPA equivalent complimented by BSc in Business Administration 6-7 years' experience in a business facing role in a large organisation, exposure to accounting and the Telecom industry Strong knowledge of financial principles, standards and techniques of budgeting, project accounting, fixed asset accounting, financial analysis. SAP & Hyperion systems knowledge a must have. Advanced excel skills required. Excellent accounting & reporting skills, ability to interpret and apply USGAAP / IFRS accounting standards whilst appreciating commercial drivers. Knowledge of SOX Personal Skills: Analytical and solutions driven Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions and facilitate change. Strong delivery focus: stress resistant and able to meet tight deadlines; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Team focused while able to operate independently; Quick learner & ability to work with cross functional teams. Ability for occasional travel, mainly to Headquarter in Mia Have excellent communication and influencing skills to gain alignment with multiple stakeholders Analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, adhering to standards to maintain the integrity of the financial data;
