This is a critical senior appointment for the business and will be a high-profile role reporting into the CFO with significant exposure to the wider business.

Description

You will have overall responsibility of accounting function within the whole business. Management of the accounting processes and procedures for multiple companies at various sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Management of accounting function on a day to day basis
• Group statutory accounts and notes under IFRS and UK GAAP
• Preparation of board pack and notes on a monthly, half year and full year basis
• Management and review of subsidiary monthly management accounts
• Management of Audit process
• CT computations and tax audit, management of Group VAT returns
• Lead role in the preparation of budgets and forecasts including rolling forecast

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive post qualification experience
• Proven experience of working in a similar role/industry is desirable
• Accurate, organised and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a Plc reporting environment is not a prerequisite but highly desirable given the highly technical nature of the role
• Self-motivated and able to work to strict deadlines with minimum supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and positive attitude and a good team worker
• Must have the ability to independently develop relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
