Are you a driven accountant looking for your next career move within a respected practice? If this is you please keep reading. We are currently recruiting for a number of accounting, tax and audit positions within respected practices across the UK.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients ensuring that they receive proactive advice and that all work is completed within the required deadlines.

Your daily activities will include;

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients.
  • Responding to inbound client queries via telephone/email.
  • Ensuring that all VAT returns and management accounts are prepared within deadlines.
  • Providing proactive outbound advice to clients both new and existing, including tax planning.
  • Providing technical tax advice and support to clients when required.
  • Monitoring clients’ deadlines for VAT/SATR/Year end accounts through internal reporting tools.
  • Assistance with clients’ company payroll.
  • Advising clients through company closedown/Capital Distribution/MVL processing.
  • Assisting with IR35 contract reviews, if required.

To succeed in this role, you will need;

  • Experience of working in a practice dealing with small or large businesses.
  • Experience working in the contracting industry (specifically with regard to IR35 regulations and Managed Service Company legislation) will be an advantage.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies.
  • Experience in calculating tax liabilities & advising clients (Self-Assessment / Corporation tax/VAT).
  • Confident with client interaction, in person, written and via telephone.
  • Experience in running a limited company payroll would be beneficial.
  • Good computer skills and basic understanding of accounting practice software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team yet self-motivated and target driven.
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability.

What we offer;

You will receive a salary of £30,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience) and fantastic prospects of career progression and growth within a respected practice.
