Role: Finance Assistant
Salary: £20k to £23k
Location: Harrogate
Contract: 12 month MAT cover
Our client, a national business who are based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, are currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 12 month MAT cover.
The role will involve:
- Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, e mail or letter
- Managing supplier invoices
- Reconciliation
- Distributing supplier invoices for authorisation
- Identifying costings
- Processing Sales Invoices
- Updating the internal system
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Process BACS payments
- Reconciliation of Purchase Ledger to General Ledger on a monthly basis
- Preparation of bank reconciliation
- Processing and administration of internal expense claims
Key skills required for the role include:
- Previous experience of working within a finance department
- AAT qualified, or working towards would be desirable
- Analytical, with a keen eye for detail
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Organised and methodical, with ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
- Computer Literate, with experience of MS Office
- Intermediate level Excel would be advantageous, together with previous experience of accounting software
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn
