Assistant Financial Controller

You will be working as Assistant Financial Controller for a leading business that is going through an exciting period of growth. A business that puts their staff first and offers a supportive and friendly environment, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

This is a long term interim role with the view to go permanent

You will be part of the leadership team and report in to the General Manager focusing on strategic and operational efficiency's.

As Assistant Financial Controller you can expect your duties to include but not be limited to:

• Ensure robust financial and systems controls are in place, and are in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
• Identify and drive cost down initiatives through the process of standard costing
• Produce monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Manage the year end process and statutory accounts preparation, including corporation tax.
• Implement appropriate controls in order to monitor and maximise cashflow.
• Ensure appropriate controls and reporting are in place to manage overhead costs in line with business strategy.

You will have experience in a similar role as Assistant Financial Controller, be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and have an upbeat personality. You will be able to work with large amounts of data, be able to liaise with senior stakeholders and operate at a senior level.
