Accounts Assistant
Our client is looking for an Accounts Administrator to support their existing small finance office. The role will be initially part-time consisting of 3 days a week, with a degree of flexibility, but may lead to more hours or a full-time role in the future.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the accounts process and hold some relevant qualifications, or at least working towards them.
This position is to provide effective financial support using SAGE. Duties include posting of all data to Trial Balance stage:
* Sales ledger – assisting with raising invoices and working with colleagues to process and check invoices before despatching.
* Being consistent when chasing debtors – keeping virulent monitoring on late payments and being able to converse with clients from all backgrounds using all formats to chase outstanding invoices.
* Some knowledge and experience using and working with factoring services.
* Cash/cheques handling and banking
* Taking payments from clients and setting up Direct Debits
* Calculating staff travel and mileage.
* Processing of time sheets and payroll - experience of large payrolls runs an advantage.
* Month-end and year-end preparations – being able to produce monthly managements
You will have significant previous experience in financial administration ideally using SAGE software (Sage 50 Accounts Professional & Sage 50 Payroll) and Excel spreadsheets.
The role will require you to be able to undertake the above tasks working in close co-operation and co-ordination with colleagues, under the direction of Company accountant and Director but also on an independent basis. You will be well organised, accurate with close attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative when required.
£20-£23k pro-rata
