Management Accountant

As the Management Accountant you will be working in a vibrant and exciting accountancy department where you will be responsible for the preparation of vessel management accounts.

Part of the role will also involve assisting with the preparation of head office reporting, budgets, audit files and other adhoc duties. The individual will also get exposure to statutory accounts for our UK and foreign subsidiaries.

My client is, based in central London is the owner and and operator of one of the world's largest oil carriers and provides international and regional seaborne transportation services.

Description

As the Management Accountant you will have the below duties:

• Have ownership of Management Accounts packs for vessels after each voyage
• Stewardship of individual vessels
• Revenue and bunker calculations
• Cost analysis
• Variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Finance management for the vessels
• Influence decision on the efficient running's of the company
• Assisting with the preparation of head office reporting
• Budgeting
• Audit files
• Exposure to statutory accounts for the UK and foreign subsidiaries

Profile

As the Management Accountant you will have:

• As least 2 years working in an Assistant Management Accountant position
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualification
• Produced Management Accounts to trial balance
• Excellent excel and numerical skills
• The ability to work well in a team
• Clear career drive and ambition
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work effectively to deadlines
• A hard working and enthusiastic attitude
• Ideally shipping industry background (but not essential)
• Ideally SUN experience (but not essential)

Job Offer

£32,000 - £35,000 + Market leading benefits
