We are working with one of the largest companies within their industry in the UK who service a wide spectrum of businesses. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, they are an innovative and expanding company and we are seeking a commercial finance analyst to join their finance team.

The Role

The Commercial Finance Analyst position is a great opportunity to join a business that will offer an interesting and busy role in commercial environment. It is a role that will suit someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data, analysing information, understanding trends and generating insights. You will have a solid skill base and positive attitude as you will be required to be inquisitive, thorough and work on your own initiative.

Specifically, the role will involve the following tasks:

• Investigating variances to forecasts
• Reporting on findings and producing resolutions for issues
• Handling high volume data spotting trends and understanding underlying causes
• Identify opportunities and risks and recommend appropriate actions
• Working with operation and sales teams ensuring rigorous financial control

The Person

The successful candidate is likely to have solid foundation in database interrogation and analytical work. You will be looking for a role that gives you an opportunity to be highly analytical and develop your already inquisitive nature. Ideally you will have strong excel knowledge including advanced formulas, v-look ups etc.
