An leading business based in the Cheshire area is looking to hire an International Group Corporate Tax manager to join their department. This long established team is going through a period of growth and they are now in need of an ambitious and driven individual to assist the Head of Tax and Treasury with a range of tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to expand on their skill set and work alongside an experienced team of professionals.

Our client is an industry leading manufacturing business that operates in a number of different countries. They are seeking an individual with initiative and drive who will quickly get to grips with the responsibilities of the role and its tax technical aspects. As the Group is expanding, you will be involved in M&A activity, managing the due diligence process and advising on structuring as appropriate.
Description
- Overseeing the corporate tax compliance process across the region through relationships with external advisers and local business teams. This will include assisting in the oversight and central co-ordination and consolidation of corporate tax risks arising from tax issues and audits.
- Working with the Tax Assistant in relation to the UK corporate tax compliance process, which is undertaken in-house.
- Maintaining good relationships with local tax advisers and tax authorities, and managing tax audits, together with the local business finance teams and advisers.
- Managing reporting under US GAAP in respect of both quarter end and year-end financial reporting
- Advising and making recommendations in respect of transfer pricing issues, including supporting in the documentation, maintenance and oversight of compliance, and supporting the Group's response to the OECD's BEPS initiative.
- Managing tax service providers, including keeping costs within Budget.
- Assisting the Head of Tax & Treasury with advisory projects including M&A, financing, restructuring and appropriate tax planning, implementation of the Group's tax strategy and providing advice to the business as needed.
Profile
- Chartered Accounting (ACA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years post qualified experience, with strong tax skills and significant exposure to International Tax. This can be from practice or a previous in-house role
- Experience of US GAAP or IFRS tax accounting for group reporting
- Strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to effectively drive projects forward
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Commercially minded
Job Offer
£65,000 - £75,000 basic salary + £5,000 car allowance + 10 % bonus (full additional benefits below)
Holidays: 25 days, these go to 28 with service
Bonus: on target this is 10%, depending on personal and business performance this can go to 30%
Pension: 5% on joining, this can increase to 10% / 15% (employer) after probation
Health care: taxable benefit for employee and spouse/partner, can include children at their own cost
Car Allowance: 4.950
Group Income Protection:up to 50% of salary may be paid when they exceed their company sick pay
Death in Service: 6 x salary
