This role isn’t a box-ticking financial accounting role. It’s an external-facing, commercial role that will expose you to investors, insurers and agencies.
You’re not a shy, retiring wall-flower – you’ll need to explain your analysis to senior management and executive-level colleagues. You’ll be able to stand up to their challenges. But it’s a team culture, and that’s one of their key values, so they’ll want you to succeed.
This ever-changing FTSE-listed business is constantly exploring new opportunities. Your work will influence it’s future strategy.
You’re likely to have an accounting bias. You may have some experience of treasury activities such as cash forecasting, foreign exchange (FX), liquidity management or money market dealing. Although you won’t be a spreadsheet-geek, you will be able to use the advanced functions of Microsoft Excel as a tool for your analysis.
