Credit Control / Sales Ledger - Maternity Cover

Mpeople Accountancy & Finance is currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller / Sales Ledger for Maternity cover for a client based in Rochdale. This is a full time position paying up to £21k depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing cash, bacs, cheques, euro bacs to customer accounts
• Opening post and distributing
• Confirming pick note and inputting onto system
• Customer account maintenance- open new accounts
• Process & Generate credit notes and/or QAs
• Chasing customer debt
• Investigating and working with colleagues to resolve customer queries promptly
• Processing customer correspondence and effectively maintaining accounts
• Working with and supporting team members as required to achieve company goals
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal/external customers

Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Experience working as a Credit Controller (1 year minimum)
• Polite & Firm telephone manner
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Literate/Numerate
• Keen eye for detail
• Good Time Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Outlook

The hours are Monday to Friday 8:15am until 5:15pm with 30minutes for lunch.
