We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a growing, fast-paced commercial company on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The role will be leading a talented finance team, and taking responsibility for the accounting processes, financial control and reporting for the businesses largest revenue stream.
This is a hands-on, high profile opportunity so you will be a confident and outgoing individual, professionally qualified with staff management experience and ideally have worked in a high transaction style business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder management with Executive team, customers and external advisor's
- Month end close
- Financial Reporting and Analysis including, budget/forecasting, working capital, Group finance reporting, supplementary packs and ad hoc requests
- Leading special projects within the department
- Ensuring Balance Sheet reconciliations are in accordance with Balance Sheet Integrity guidelines
- Overseeing acquisition integration/due diligence
- Process and systems improvement
- Working with internal and external auditors
- Development and coaching of finance team
Skills:
- Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience gained in a commercial environment
- Commercial awareness - Understands and applies financial and commercial principles
- Highly organised, capable of managing own workload to tight deadlines
- Experienced people manager, comfortable managing others' targets and workloads
- Excellent communication skills, to ensure all key messages are communicated across the team as appropriate
