Description

As a Finance Manager based from Send, just outside Woking you will be responsible for:

  • To manage the month end process, ensuring that all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled
  • Bank reconciliation of multi-currency accounts and month end close of the Cash Book, including revaluation

  • Managing 2 full time and one part time members of the team, you will report directly into the Finance Director
  • Turnover reconciliation and sales margin analysis
  • To maintain the Fixed Asset Register with Additions, Disposals and Depreciation
  • Accruals and other ad-hoc month end journals and Preparation of month end accounts for the UK Company Headquarters
  • Analysis of manufacturing data including job variance analysis, overhead and efficiency rates
  • P&L Review
  • Preparation of month end accounts, including intercompany elimination, Goods / Cash in Transit
  • To manage the Year End Audit process and to liaise with the auditors
  • To prepare the annual budget
  • Treasury Management
  • To assist in the implementation of a new online system for processing staff expenses
  • To gather information to support our claim for enhanced R & D tax allowance
  • To prepare and submit our quarterly IPR Suspension Returns to HMRC
  • To ensure that we are VAT compliant by checking the VAT Return against the EC Sales List prior to their submission to HMRC
  • To assist the FD in the implementation of Dashboard Reporting

Profile

  • This position would suit an ACCA or CIMA studier with a minimum of 5 years accounting experience, candidates Qualified By Experience will also be considered
  • Excellent Excel skills and the ability to manipulate data accurately are essential
  • Good communications skills are essential as the candidate will be required to liaise with Directors and other senior staff within the company both in the UK and overseas
  • A good team member with some previous supervisory experience is preferred but not essential
  • A strong communicator in both written and verbal English with an excellent telephone manner

Job Offer

Salary £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and suitability

  • Full time, permanent position, 36 hour week - Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 5.15pm, 9.00am - 5.00pm Friday, with one hour lunch
