To support the delivery of company-wide transactions and processes supporting the overall strategic objectives to deliver finance and business performance. The role has good variety with exposure to operations and the business.

Description

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Consult with managers to understand business requirements and identify opportunities.
  • Be proactive in identifying financial risks and opportunities for departments so that business managers can respond to them on a timely basis

  • Continually focusing on streamlining and improving processes.

  • Work with the business to build budgets for key financial metrics.
  • Plan and manage the financial processes, ensuring compliance with operational and financial controls.
  • Understanding the current trading environment and investigating and articulating the short term and long term implications of any changes.
  • Support a continuous improvement culture across the function to focus on service, costs, cash flow by contributing in joint problem solving
  • Produce periodic forecasts to enable business managers to understand the implications of current spend behaviours on the full year

    • Profile

    Candidate requirements:

    • Qualified accountant: ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
    • Experience within manufacturing accountacy, costing and variances (desirable)
    • Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems
    • Experience of using Microsoft Excel
    • The ability to champion change, pace and simplicity
    • Strong analytical thinking and excellent numerical skills
