About the job
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating key compliance functions under the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act including the student reporting function and the University's CRICOS register. The position assumes the operational and reporting management responsibilities for these key functions. The position is also responsible for improving business practices and training staff to embed and improve ESOS compliance throughout the University. The incumbent has the discretion to initiate, develop and implement business processes and training programs to anticipate, prevent or promptly resolve ESOS compliance issues. It is responsible for ensuring compliance requirements are met, continually reviewed and resolutions carried out as efficiently and effectively as possible. The incumbent will also manage aspects of internal and external compliance audits. The role involves other aspects of regulatory compliance and the incumbent is expected to have an in depth understanding of regulatory requirements and to liaise independently with regulatory authorities and to develop effective, positive working relationships with them.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Current knowledge of Federal and State Government policies and regulations related to international education, training and employment (e.g. ESOS National Code) and a broad knowledge of Australian educational systems and frameworks, and government policies.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and manage key relationships professionally, including the ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of clients, partners, and authorities, many from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
