Company Accountant - Newry My client: VanRath are pleased to be recruiting for a Company Accountant for a highly reputable organisation based in the Newry area. The role is to add strength to a well-established team during a busy period of growth and this appointment will allow for a full handover/introductory training period for the successful candidate. The Role: The purpose of the role is to play a key role in the finance department, delivering key information on budgets, management accounts and intercompany accounts, reporting directly into the Finance Director. Duties are as follows: Assist with the preparation of management accounts for multiple business units Preparation of intercompany bank reconciliations and balance sheets Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and annual statutory accounts and detailed audit files, along with liaison with external auditors. Preparation and submission of VAT returns Cashflow reporting Ad hoc analysis of financial and operational Information. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) accountant Experience of operating within a medium-sized organisation Experience of assisting with the production of management accounts Experience of managing intercompany bank reconciliations Experience of Microsoft products, particularly Excel spread sheets Remuneration: c.£30-33k.
