We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working apprentice to join our Finance team, in the heart of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a good academic record who can also demonstrate an ambition to succeed in whatever they do, strong communications skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and a fair degree of common sense. You will be given real responsibility from the outset whilst also studying towards a professional qualification.

Training provided:
You will undertake an ACCA qualification (Apprenticeship Level 7), for which full support would be provided.

Overall responsibilities:
You will assist with accounting processes within the office and provide support for other members of the Finance team. Your primary objectives will be to support the accounts receivable process, the accounts payable process and the group month end close process.

Main Responsibilities:
Accounts receivable
Assist with the accounts receivable function including:
• Raising and posting of all management fee invoices
• Maintaining invoice register
• Monitoring accounts receivable mailbox and responding to any questions raised
• Review outstanding debtors on a weekly basis and follow up on any overdue balances in conjunction with the client relations team

Accounts payable
Support the accounts payable function including:
• Ownership of all rebate and revenue sharing agreements including accounts payable postings
• Provide assistance to the accounts payable team with the inputting of payments especially during busy periods (post month end/year end)

Financial accounting
Assistance with financial accounting requirements including:
• Posting of monthly revenue accruals during the month end close process
• Responsible for the monthly prepayments and fixed assets accounting
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with the preparation of audit schedules and responding to related auditor questions
• Preparation of annual financial statements under FRS 102

Management Reporting
Assistance with management accounting requirements including:
• Provide inputs into the group monthly management reporting pack
• Complete ad hoc financial data requests such as statistics surveys, industry surveys, request for proposals   

Personal and Technical Skills:
• Excellent degree level academic results
• IT literate including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to detail in all areas of work essential
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good numeracy; analytical
• Good team player
• Flexible and able to achieve tight deadlines
• Enthusiastic with “Can Do” attitude
• A very strong commitment to the accountancy profession and eventually qualifying as an ACCA

2.1 degree or above. All grades need to be supplied.
