An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for my client, an international manufacturing organisation, who offer exposure to fundamental skills as a management accountant in this Assistant Accountant position. Client Details

Our client is a market leading manufacturing organisation based in the glorious countryside of Ashbourne. You will be situated within a team of 5 in the finance team but will regularly come into contact with other departments. Our client has quite a laid back atmosphere but at the same time, you will have to be switched on for some fast paced work and accurate analysis when required.

Description

Your key duties and responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Supporting the Management Accountant in ensuring the timely preparation of daily, weekly and monthly accounting reports & KPI data with relevant comparisons, promoting strong accounting governance and financial integrity.
  • To assist in variance analysis, site overhead control and to share this information to improve visibility and understanding.
  • To support the team in regular forecasting and annual budgeting needs.
  • Product costings and analysis.
  • Analysis and tracking of continuous improvement initiatives for the operational side of the business.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT-qualified or a QBE accountant, with experience of preparing weekly and monthly accounts, ideally in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have strong analytical ability, a keen eye for detail and have excellent numeracy and computer skills including Microsoft Excel.

Job Offer

My client is offering a salary of between £24,000 and £28,000 for the right candidate. You will also be able to have study support following probation. Parking is on site and there are other unique staff benefits readily available.
