Management Accountant

We have a great opportunity for a Qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a Management Accountant your main responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly accounts for multiple contracts, analysis of variances to budget, weekly performance reporting and business partnering account / commercial managers.

Further responsibilities for the Management Accountant are, but not limited to:

Management of Work in Progress
Liaising with Commercial / Account Managers to ensure accurate reporting of contracts
Preparation of weekly KPI and operational reports
Balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
Maintain weekly and monthly cashflows
Assist with forecasting as required both P&L and cashflow
Improve the quality of the information systems and the internal processes which affect the financial reports and controls
Preparation of VAT returns
To assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
Ad-hoc duties when required
The successful applicant must be a competent Excel user and be confident in explaining finance to non-financial stakeholders. Previous experience of Work in Progress Management would be an advantage.

You will need to be a fully qualified accountant with either ACCA or CIMA to be considered for this post.
