Company Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the finance team as the Company Accountant, based in Port Talbot. The role is varied and broad, covering all aspects of Finance across the business.

Our Client is a well established Manufacturing Company based in Port Talbot. The organisation has an industry leading production capability and has many leading brands as its customer.

Description

As the Company Accountant in this broad and varied role you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing and supporting the preparation of the Statutory accounting and Reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and Annual basis
• Ensure HMRC compliance including payroll related matters, income tax, VAT and corporation tax
• Oversee and produce the month-end Management Accounts, providing commentary and Variance Analysis.
• Supporting in the company audits
• Balance sheet review including accruals and prepayments
• Profit and loss review of significant spends and variances

Profile

The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years Post-Qualified experience, preferably CIMA, due to the manufacturing elements to the role, however, ACA, and ACCA will also be considered.

You will have experience in a fast paced Manufacturing environment, with a good technical accounting knowledge, experience in audit, and management accounting.

Experience in accounting packages, and be a competent Excel user. You will possess a strong commercial acumen, be self-Motivated and possess excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
