Based in Bedford they have parking and good public transport links and are firmly rooted in the FMCG sector

Description

Credit Controller duties and responsibilities

  • Chasing outstanding debt via phone,e mail and letter
  • Co-ordinating the invoicing requirements for by checking validity, authorisation and compliance with the Financial Regulations prior to raising invoices, credit notes, refunds, waivers and transfer of fees.
  • managing key account relationships
  • Invoicing
  • Ensure a professional and efficient customer experience is delivered at all times and pursue opportunities to enhance quality of service provided.
  • To resolve all credit control and debt collection queries received in the Accounts Receivable e-mailbox in timely manner.
  • Provide cover for Finance Administrators and other Credit Controllers.
  • Carry out any other duties or projects assigned by the line manager.

Profile

Credit Controller experience and personality required;

  • Experience of improving the ledgers within a varied credit control role
  • Current experience of credit control and managing the ageing of debts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience of debt collection through agencies and courts
  • Knowledge of reporting and evaluating Court actions
  • Experience of preparing year end working papers
  • Experience of effective administration
  • Personable character with Strong communication skills
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
