An established manufacturing and production company based in the heart of Hatfield are seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to manage their Credit, and Accounts Receivables part of finance. Full time permanent role for a friendly and innovative company.


Salary paying £32k-£36k with excellent benefits, career progression and a friendly working environment. Role will involve Accounts Receivables, risk analysis, reporting and much more.

Description

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst your duties will include:

  • You will join and supervise the Credit Risk & Analytics team, where leading edge models and analytics are created to harness the power of data and enable scientifically optimised business decisions.
  • You will collaborate with experts in risk management, technology, data management, capital markets, business operations to understand business objectives and shape analytical solutions.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the loan portfolio delivers strong performance: tracking loan originations and underwriting processes, monitoring portfolio growth and quality, forecasting credit losses and loans profitability, performing portfolio stress-testing, supporting effectiveness of collections and recoveries processes, etc.
  • You will guide business decisions by carrying out adhoc analysis, providing credit risk insights and recommendations for optimising credit risk strategies and business processes.
  • Responsible for the investigation and analysis of credit risk.
  • Monitors customer accounts in order to maximise credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss.

Profile

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates the relationships between Relationship Managers, internal stakeholders and partners to facilitate the credit approval/portfolio review processes.
  • Undertakes customer visits as required
  • Provides credit information and references for customers, Relationship Managers, Management, or other agencies as requested.
  • Work closely with Fraud, Collections and other business units to minimise risk and potential loss.
  • Build strong and positive relationships, share understandings and best practice with other business areas.
  • Assist management in ensuring that the Credit Policy is being adhered to by all related parties.
  • Undertakes large ad hoc reviews of problem credit cases with additional focus on loss trends as they develop within the portfolio.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of merchants within periodic review cycle
  • Ideally, you'll be ICM qualified, or hold other qualifications relevant to the role and have a good working knowledge of the various issues surrounding credit management with particular emphasis on data protection and contract law.
