A sole charge role responsible for the accuracy and efficacy of the billing and credit function.
Working in small and friendly team, this role will be busy, challenging and require a good eye for detail.

Description
- Responsible for the invoicing and credit control functions
- Responsible for all invoicing for the College and its associated companies. Including fees, extras and lettings invoices.
- Maintaining the debtors ledgers ensuring that all invoices and receipts are recorded accurately and allocated appropriately.
- Ensuring all refunds are made were required.
- Responsibility for debt collection, ensuring that a robust policy is in plae and adhered to.
- Using debt collection or other means to ensure debt collection, with the support of the Accountant or the Bursar.
- Ensuring that chasing letters are sent and late payment charges are added as required.
- Managing the direct debit collections.
- Maintain and reconcile deposit register for new entrants.
- Management of the fees in advance scheme.
- Managing all student related insurances.
- Processing of insurance claims and related correspondence.
- Processing of all bursary applications.
- All billing and bursary monthly/annual reporting requirements/reconciliations.
- To undertake other duties as appropriate to assist other members of the admin team and to support the work of the Bursar and School Accountant.
Profile
- A good standard of general education to at least A level is expected.
- Experience of working in a finance department (school environment would be an advantage).
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and attention to detail.
- Highly proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills and ease in dealing with staff, parents, Governors and visitors of all sorts.
- Willingness to be an effective member of a small team.
- Interest in the work of a school and willingness to uphold Shiplake College's aims and ethos.
