Financial Accountant | Manchester | Retail | £45k |Excellent Progression Opportunities|
Axon Moore are representing a brand name retail business that has expanded rapidly in recent years. As a result of this continued expansion there is a vacancy within the Financial Reporting team for an ambitious Financial Accountant.
This role reports directly into the Head of Finance and offers a great opportunity for someone looking to break into the FMCG/retail industry coming either straight from audit or who has just qualified in industry in a similar position and is looking to expedite their career.
You will be responsible for the preparation and production of statutory accounts and other external reports for entities within the group. You will support the Head of Financial Reporting in their day to day responsibilities and also assist with internal change projects when required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts for multiple entities
• Provision of audit information and liaison with groups auditors
• Budgeting and forecasting for entities within the group
• Production of cash flow forecasts for group subsidiaries
• Implementation of process improvements to internal control infrastructure
• Assist the Head of Financial Reporting with ad-hoc tasks
The ideal candidate will be:
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Technically strong with a strong attention to detail
• Practical experience of preparing/auditing accounts under FRS102
• Ambitious and keen to progress in their career
