Management Accountant - 50k
This is a key role within the Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
A not-for-profit organisation based in the City of London are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with production of quarterly Group management and annual
statutory accounts for 24 entities.
• Maintenance and enhancement of the company’s key financial systems
• Management of the loan portfolio cash flows (including substantial sums held under trust on behalf of borrowers) to ensure full and timely payments
• Special projects
• Key member of the team producing the quarterly management accounts including provision of analysis, key statistics and narrative for the board reports.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for all subsidiaries and related companies.
• A key contact during the audit process, liaising with internal and external auditors as necessary.
• Review and enhancement of finance systems.
• Key contributor to produce the annual budget and 5 year forecast.
• Supervision of junior member of staff ensuring all daily banking transaction deadlines are met.
• Other ad hoc reports and tasks working with the Finance Director.
The ideal candidate:
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience of Sun Accounts/Q&A would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Excellent numerical and bookkeeping skills.
• High level of accuracy.
• Adaptable and flexible.
• Innovative and seeking continuous improvement.
• Effective organisation and time management.
• Care and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
• Pro-active and takes initiative.
• Advance IT skills including Excel.
• Detailed knowledge/application of current International Accounting standards
