My client a rapidly growing business consultancy firm are seeking to add a new permanent Financial Controller to their business to lead them through their next growth phase.
The business have grown from £1m to £3m turnover over the past 2 years, with an impending acquisition which will see this grow further. Joining a business who intend to grow via acquisition you will become a pivotal member of their team on the journey to an eventual exit.
Reporting to the senior management team your duties shall initially be an A-Z role and include;
- Preparation of monthly management information to the board
- Working with external accounts to prepare financial accounts and statements
- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting
- Managing cash flow – and understanding WIP
- Ensuring invoices are raised correctly
- Managing relationship with invoice factoring company
- Preparing due diligence of potential acquisition targets
- Main point of contact and managing relationship with banks
- Managing sales commission calculations
- Support in strategic decisions
- Process improvement - and implementing new accounting structure for business, and deciding on if to implement a new accounting system
This role will suit;
- A qualified accountant with ideally 3-5 years post qualification experience
- Someone who has worked within a professional services, or time billing business and dealt with sales commissions
- Someone who is credible and confident presenting to senior management both face-to-face and in writing
- Ability to influence and implement new ideas
- Someone looking for a role where they will get exposure to a business growing via acquisition, with the view for an exit
